…and spent most of my 20’s travelling the world in search of the Perfect Picnics Spot.

Having settled in Kingscliff 20 years ago, I’d often set up stylish picnics along our gorgeous Cudgen Creek. It’s where you’d find our family and friends celebrating Christmas, Mother’s Day, birthdays or Rosè Sunday.

Many passers-by commented on our stylish settings, which resulted in numerous requests to create something similar for their upcoming celebrations.

Inspired by this growing interest, we:

• took a quintessential Australian activity, picnicking,
• incorporated the elegance and glamour of its historical French roots, and
• combined my 30 years of international event management,
• to create outdoor dining experiences that merge travel, celebration and food. 

From the onset, Blue Ginger Picnics focused on integrating with local businesses and tourism operators. As a result, every experience incorporates over 30 local farmers, suppliers and producers – from local cheesemakers and cracker bakers to pottery and cushion creators.

We aim to showcase the Tweed’s individuality by creating experiences that tell the story of our stunning landscape, diverse wildlife and abundant fresh produce. Serving 100% local produce means you enjoy the opportunity of tasting an array of delicious local goodies you may never have tried. Think…marinated garlic, organic Totopos, handmade dips, mixed olives and more.
