The Tweed Artisan Food Weekend, running from 18-21 November 2021, is a culinary festival that takes you on a deep dive into the provenance of our stunning region. Destination Tweed has curated a jam-packed lineup – from a Tropicana Cafe to a native food degustation to a fiesta on the water. So check out the stellar program and enjoy the delectable flavours of the Northern Rivers.
Here are some of our favourite picks:
DAY 1 (AM) – RIVERSIDE BRUNCH BY BAKED
Start your four-day foodie extravaganza with a relaxing riverside Brunch By Baked at Ancora. Admire the breathtaking views of Mt Wolumbin as you sip your refreshing Mimosa. Or perhaps sample locally roasted Ground Control coffee and locally blended Fallen Leaf Tea as trawlers cruise past.
Then, enjoy a share-style breakfast feast, served on long tables brimming with local produce. Finish off your brunch with a selection of Baked famous pastries and cakes; handcrafted by the team in the Ancora kitchen.

DAY 1 (PM) – A JOURNEY THROUGH MEXICO & BEYOND
Lolita’s Cantina has created a unique menu inspired by their team’s diverse cultural background combined with the abundance of exceptional produce across the Northern Rivers region. They’ve merged the flavours of Mexico, Brazil, the Philippines and, of course, their Aussie home with this collaborative menu creation.
Enjoy a banquet showcasing the different seasons, regions and culture of Sonora and Mexico City, integrating signature modern touches! This menu represents different seasons, regions and cultures from Sonora and Mexico City while incorporating signature modern touches!
DAY 2 – TROPICANA CAFE
Tropical Fruit World invites you to experience the taste of their 200-acre farm, with over 500 exotic tropical fruits. Then, soak up the live entertainment and good vibes as you watch the sun setting over the ancient caldera of the Tweed Valley when the Tropicana Cafe comes to life.

DAY 3 – MEET THE LOCALS LUNCH
Lunch at Potager is always a memorable experience. But add amazing local guests, such as Stoken, Urliup Farm Co, Salumi, Fair Game Wild Venison, The Chilli Chick and Zeta’s Coffee, you have a sell-out event.
Enjoy a welcome cocktail, canapes in the garden, three-course lunch and a glass of wine as you meet these passionate locals. Listen to their inspiring stories and learn how they live and work in the collaborative Northern Rivers community.
DAY4 – WOLLUMBIN SPIRIT
On the final day, head to the water for an indigenous cultural cruise with Tweed Escapes.
This is a full-day indigenous culinary experience on the water and on land:
- Soak up the stunning waterways onboard Dreamcatcher for a 4.5-hour cultural river cruise of local talks, music, storytelling and food.
- Indulge in a three-course meal featuring local seafood plus flavours from House of Gabriel as you admire the spectacular landscape and spot wildlife.
- Your return journey has you sipping delicious local drinks from Husk Distillers and Stone & Wood.
